The Okoro Villa Food Philosophy

Our philosophy of food is one which allows the guest to enjoy locally sourced produce, seafood and bounty from the kitchen garden & orchard prepared by the Okoro Villa Chef.

Included with each guest stay are the services of the Okoro Villa private chef, offering a continental or cooked breakfast, pre-dinner drinks with canapes and a three-course dinner menu daily.

A discreet and personal service, the Okoro Villa chef will showcase the best that the land and sea of the region has to offer.

Chef Experiences

Enquire about cooking classes wander the kitchen gardens and orchard or book a guided tasting tour of the Farmers Market with Chef.

Provisioning

Included in your stay is complimentary provisioning.

Expect a selection of refreshments in the fridge to both barista and nespresso coffees, ranges of herbal teas, fresh seasonal fruit and chef’s daily bakery items for guests to enjoy at leisure. We cater for all dietary needs and special requests.

Executive Chef Michael McMeeken

Introducing Okoro Villa Executive Chef Michael McMeeken.

Born and bred in New Zealand’s southernmost province; Southland, Michael honed his culinary skills in some of the world’s most highly regarded restaurants and he has worked under some of the world’s leading culinary authorities.

Adding to the dining culinary experience at Okoro Villa will be guided foraging and cooking classes on site and tasting tours with Chef Michael available exclusively for guests.
