The remote, gin clear waters of the Nelson region offer some of the best fly fishing in New Zealand for wild rainbow and brown trout. Okoro Villa offers full and half day drive or fly out (helifishing) packages with professional experienced guides. South Island river fishing opens at the beginning of October and runs through to the end of April.

The Tasman region is famous for its natural beauty and exclusive private charters inclusive of guides, experienced crew and equipment can be reserved for leisurely scenic cruising or fishing and diving trips exploring the coastal waters off Nelson, D’Urville Island, Tasman Bay, and the Abel Tasman National Park. Blue cod, groper, snapper, and kingfish are the most common types of fish to target.

Cycling Nelson offers a wide range of half and full day rides along Tasman’s Great Taste Trail, exploring Mapua Village, galleries and boutique wineries. Guests can choose from guided or independent rides along as much or as little as they like discovering hidden gems in the Nelson Tasman.  A selection of bikes including e-bikes for all levels are available to hire.

Transfers from Okoro Villa to the point of departure either for a guided tour or a custom day out can be arranged.
